AGI
You’re going to be seeing those three letters more and more and more now. We’ve reached the point where the Frontier Labs are suggesting their newest models approach or achieve AGI, Artificial General Intelligence. Some refer to this as “the point at which they become smarter than us.” Others cite tests like the Turing Test and others that attempt to compare artificial intelligence to human intelligence.
The core of the problem is that nobody can really agree on the definition of “intelligent” or “smart.” The thing is, from your perspective it just doesn’t really matter. If the AI is all that intelligent that simply means its capable of taking on more of your workload for you. But there’s another AGI that you should really be concerned with:
